About the role
ROLE: Senior Digital Product Manager
LOCATION: Full Remote, max 2 hours +/- CET; We're looking for someone who can make it to our HQ within a max 3-hour flight from Milan and is willing to come over occasionally (once a quarter) to meet the team and stakeholders. (WE WILL REJECT ALL CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT FIT THESE REQUIREMENTS)
SALARY RANGE: 46k-60k + 10% OF BONUS + 8€ MEAL VOUCHERS
TRAINING BUDGET: for professional development (conferences, courses, meetups)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Product Manager who will work closely with our business owners and the rest of the Monkeys team (other Product Managers, Data & Developers) to deliver digital products.
As a Product Manager, you will work at the intersection of scalability of our business model, payments and development, as well as have a competitive understanding of complex tour operator processes, which are keys for scalability of the business, to facilitate the creation of successful new features.
What you’ll do:
- Own the vision and overall development roadmap for your product line(s)
- Manage a product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation; collect requirements, craft the user experience, and drive execution
- Work with business leaders to help shape and drive business cases for product features
- Represent the business owner and end-customer within the development team: translate vision and strategy into inputs and product features that will be in the hands of key stakeholders and potentially thousands of users (including writing product requirements and specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, user flows, and wireframes)
- Identify the essential qualities of each feature: what's important, what's not, how can we limit cost and risk? How do we measure success?
- Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
- Use good judgment to make appropriate trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that anything we do adds value to the business and continues to delight our users
- Work with the rest of the Monkeys team to scope and size development efforts and partner with the business owners to manage tradeoffs and drive prioritization
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
- Serve as the main point-of-contact and overall lead on all assigned projects, with ownership of project meetings, documentation, tracking, and cross-team communication
- Inward Facing: Lead integration projects, providing data access for internal teams (images, geolocation, etc.).
- Outward Facing: Manage payment methods and refund systems, ensuring user-friendly experiences.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Experience in a product management role
- Technical background with solid knowledge of software development and web technologies
- Hands-on experience across all stages of the product life cycle
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent project management, scheduling & prioritisation skills
- Great communication skills

- The instinct to get on a whiteboard and explain your thinking, and fast to document that thinking into expected use cases and user behaviors
- Exceptional ability to grasp, manage, and articulate complex systems
- Experience connecting innovative solutions to real-world, user problems with the actual business needs of a rapidly scaling organization
- Technical depth that allows you to communicate with, understand, and earn the respect of world-class engineers
- Previous technical experience is a plus
- Previous experience in payments, invoicing, accounting processes is a plus
- A track record of being proactive and persuading colleagues by constructing a compelling narrative both in-person and in-writing
- No ego on the job: you’re focused only on doing what is right for the customer, the user, and the company
You’ll work primarily on:
Technical and operational scalability of our business model and operations (ERP / Payments / CRM / Integrations). All it concerns with payments (invoices, accounting, consumer payments, refunds, …)
Platform integrations and dependencies with:
Bookings platform. Platform to manage our current and future booking processes.
Coordinator platform. Enable international scalability and new core functionalities such as tour/coordinator matching and on-tour and post-tour processes management.
Public website and CMS. Our public website, content and layout management system, constantly evolved to fit all the Product and Marketing needs and stay ahead of the competitors.
Partner portal. A platform for partners and suppliers, currently at early stages of development, needed to unlock marketplace potential.

- MarTech
- AI ChatBots
- Mobile app for WeRoaders (our customers)

At WeRoad Tech is not just “tech.” It’s a multidisciplinary team of Product Designers, Full Stack Designers, Engineers, and Developers that together designs, executes and optimizes the WeRoad digital experience.
