ABOUT THE ROLE
JOB TITLE: Portfolio Analyst
LOCATION: Milan - our HQ (Hybrid)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent
SALARY RANGE: 26K to 36K depending on seniority
We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our Tour Operator team and support our efforts in managing and optimizing the portfolio of travel products and services. This role is reporting to the Head of the Tour Operator and will be critical in ensuring that our offerings are aligned with market trends, customer preferences, and financial objectives, while driving strategic insights that contribute to the overall success of our tour operator operations.
The Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the performance of various tour products, analyzing customer data, and identifying opportunities for portfolio diversification and improvement. This role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess current market conditions, competitor offerings, and industry developments, helping to inform strategic decisions and enhance the competitiveness of our travel packages.
What you'll do:
Supply Analysis: analyze the performance of the tour operator portfolio, including product offerings, pricing, and market demand, to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work closely with the Product Development, Supply, Commercial and Data team to ensure portfolio strategies are aligned with business goals and customer needs. Make sure insights are effectively integrated into the overall business strategy
Trend identification and optimization: monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights that help shape product offerings and drive competitive advantage.
Data reporting: develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track the success of portfolio initiatives, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Data-Driven Insights: respond to ad-hoc data requests by building high-quality datasets and conducting in-depth analysis to provide actionable insights.
What we’re looking for:
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, or portfolio analysis, product management, or a related field.
Strong technical and analytical mindset with a love for digging into data to uncover insights: you're naturally curious and enjoy using data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. You're not afraid to get your hands dirty and dive deep into datasets to find answers.
Experience with SQL (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and the ability to extract and manipulate data efficiently. You're comfortable writing SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases. You understand how to join tables, filter data, and aggregate results to get the information you need.
Good knowledge of Data Visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent. You can create clear and compelling visualizations that communicate data insights effectively. You know how to choose the right chart type for the data and how to format it for maximum impact.
Ability to develop and track performance KPIs and create compelling reports. You can identify the key metrics that drive business success and track them over time. You can also create reports that summarize data insights and make recommendations for action.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify opportunities for optimization and growth within the product portfolio and develop data-driven strategies to address them.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at all levels.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.
