ABOUT THE ROLE
JOB TITLE: Content Marketing Specialist
LOCATION: Milan (Hybrid)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed term of a year to start with - full time 40hrs/week
GROSS SALARY: €23.500
Starting date: mid March
In this role, you’ll support the daily ideation and creation of content published across WeRoad’s channels in multiple languages. You’ll work closely with the Marketing team to bring ideas to life and help shape our social media presence.
We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely passionate about social media, always up to date with the latest trends, and not afraid to share new ideas or experiment with fresh formats. You’re curious, creative, and enjoy turning what you see online into engaging content.
Your day-to-day activities will include researching topics and trends, developing new content formats, creating visuals and captions, and supporting the production of content across different platforms.
What You’ll Do:
Support in the full content creation lifecycle for social media content: from ideation and concept development to production and publishing of videos, graphics and copy.
Actively monitor social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, emerging channels) to identify viral trends, cultural moments and real-time opportunities for instant and reactive marketing.
Supervision of comments / community management
Translate trends into on-brand, platform-native content, balancing speed, originality and brand consistency.
Support the creative and strategic planning of social media content across all our markets (IT, ES, FR, UK, DACH), adapting tone, formats and storytelling to local cultures.
Research, test and iterate on new content formats (short-form video, series, social-first storytelling, experiments) to continuously evolve our social presence.
Collaborate with local teams and coordinators to source UGC, community-driven content and real stories from our travelers.
Work closely with Creative Ops, Brand and Performance teams to ensure content is both creatively strong and performance-aware.
Analyze content performance using qualitative and quantitative signals (engagement, retention, watch time, saves) to inform future creative decisions.
Contribute to the definition and evolution of social media playbooks, tone of voice and best practices.
Experiment with new tools and workflows (editing tools, AI-assisted creation, trend discovery platforms) to improve speed and creative output.
Support campaign launches, brand activations and special initiatives with tailor-made social content.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic copywriting and graphic skills
A true social media native: you feel at home on platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Youtube
Curious and open-minded, eager to learn and experiment
Comfortable receiving feedback and using it as a learning opportunity
Resilient and proactive when facing challenges or mistakes
Good knowledge of Canva (Adobe tools are a plus)
Organizational skills, with a digital and innovative mindset.
Familiarity with AI tools (or willingness to learn quickly).
Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced environments and strong problem-solving skills.
English proficiency: B2 or higher.
Native Italian speaker, based in Milan or willing to commute.
You will love working at WeRoad if:
You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn’t think possible. Challenges excite you, and you’re hungry for the next win.
You want to be part of a young, smart, and fun team that shares your passion for travel. You thrive in a community of bold thinkers and doers who challenge and inspire each other.
You’re an entrepreneur at heart, take responsibility from day one, and move fast to make things happen.
You prefer adventure over routine and embrace the fast-paced, ever-changing ride of a scaleup. You make decisions quickly, test, learn, and adapt—because growth comes from action.
You believe in the power of people. Our WeRoaders and Travel Coordinators are at the core of everything we do, and you’re eager to be part of something bigger.

A free WeRoad trip every year – Choose your dream destination with €1,200/year travel discount or travel even more as a Travel Coordinator.
